Fitzroy Island is a large tropical island covering with rainforests. Fitzroy Island has its own fringe coral reef system and it is surrounded by a reef system that forms part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. It has four beautiful walking tracks on the island including one to the top of the hill overlooking the Great Barrier Reef, white sandy beaches, a jumping pillow, water activities, and an island resort with a bar and restaurant available for day tour guests.
It only takes about a 45-minute short cruise to the island departing from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal.
