Katherine Gorge

Nitmiluk National Park is a Top End premier attraction featuring numerous splendid natural sights. The towering sandstone walls of Katherine Gorge, carved through time across a series of thirteen gorges connected by rapids, features ancient rock-art and lots of great activities, including walking trails, treks, swimming, canoeing, fishing, boat tours, helicopter rides and scenic flights. Best visiting from May to September, the two main points of access are along the Stuart Highway towards Katherine.
