Bluewater Trail

Winding around the Pioneer River, the Bluewater Trail is a scenic and relaxing walking and cycling trail.

The trail links some of Mackay’s main attractions:

• Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens
• Sandfly Creek Environmental walkway
• Catherine Freeman walk
• The Bluewater Lagoon
• Bluewater Quay Open Space
• Iluka Park

The trail also includes two public fishing platforms at the Bluewater Quay and near the Mackay Base hospital.
