Hisense Arena is a versatile multi-purpose venue that first opened in 2000. The arena hosts various sporting events, concerts and functions each year and has a maximum seating capacity of 10,500 people. The venue also features a retractable roof, taking only 10 minutes to close.
From a sporting standpoint, Hisense Arena has hosted boxing, the annual Dancesport Championships, netball, basketball, gymnastics and Australian Open tennis matches. Popular live acts who have performed at the arena include Scissor Sisters, BB King, Nikki Minaj and One Direction.
