Kings Park and Botanical Gardens

Pretty and peaceful – Kings Park and Botanical Gardens is a must-visit for anyone staying in Perth. The 400-hectare site is home to some of the best views in Perth, awesome picnic spots, plenty of nice walks and a couple of tracks that’ll really get you sweating. Did we mention there’s a tree-top walk too?

As well as the abundant natural beauty, there’s also plenty of places to enjoy a meal with a view. There are BBQs up for grabs at many of the playgrounds and a number of cafes and restaurants dotted around the place. For those really wanting to dive into the experience, you may also consider visiting the State War Memorial, the Rio Tinto Naturescape, or the waterfall at John Oldham Park.
