The New England Regional Art Museum is a museum of Australian art located just a couple of kilometres away from the Powerhouse Hotel Armidale by Rydges. Known by most as NERAM, the museum is a short walk or a 5 minute drive from the hotel, and makes for a great place to visit when you stay with us.

As the second largest and most valuable regional public art collection in New South Wales, there’s always a vast array of unique local and international art at NERAM.

The Howard Hinton Collection, Chandler Coventry Collection and NERAM Collection provide an interesting and insightful look into Australian art history, particularly the importance of regional Australian art. Included in the collections are works by both well known Australian and international artists, such as Gruner, Roberts, Streeton and Whiteley.
