Fort Scratchley

Initially used as a navigation beacon and signal station to guide ships at sea, Fort Scratchley quickly became a strategic defense point for the harbour.

Today, the fort is open to visitors and tours, both guided and self-guided, are possible 6 days a week (the Fort is closed on Tuesdays).

The Fort is also a prime location for whale watching as they migrate up and down the coast during the winter months.
