Merewether Beach

Declared a National Surfing Reserve in March 2009, Merewether also earned the title of Australia’s Best City Beach in 2017.

The reserve stretches from Dixon Park in the north to Burwood Beach in the south, and skilled surfers can enjoy the competitive surfboard riding conditions.

Council Lifeguard Services provided Monday to Saturday during swimming season and volunteer members of Merewether Surf Lifesaving Club provides beach patrols on Sundays during the swimming season.

Only two minutes away, you will find the historic Ladies Rock Pool and the heritage listed Surf House.
