It’s the race that brings the city to a standstill – the Sydney Marathon is back!

Slated for the 30th of August 2026, The Sydney Marathon brings athletes, fitness lovers and supporters from around the globe. In one of the most scenic race routes on the planet, runners start at North Sydney Oval, and throughout the race, take in breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour, cross the iconic Harbour Bridge, and finish strong at the stunning Sydney Opera House.  With supporters cheering on from the steps of the Opera House, it’s an experience every runner should have at least once!
