The gracious, and enchanting setting of Master Ridley’s Private Dining Hall is sought after for weddings, anniversaries, and birthdays – with good reason. But in the blink of an eye, or imperious wave of the hand, it transforms effortlessly into a corporate presentation room with state-of-the-art-sound and visual equipment.
It’s named after Master Nicholas Ridley. Paris-educated and a snappy dresser (for the1550s) he came from a fine family and lived a high-profile academic life until his unfortunate run in with Mary (it ended badly…). Today, we’d like to think that they would’ve enjoyed sitting here, having a steak together. Rather than sending him to the stake.
