Australian Country Music Hall of Fame
As well as hosting one of the world’s biggest country music festivals, Tamworth is also home to the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame museum. If you’re staying with us for business or pleasure, the museum is a great place to visit for its incredible appreciation of Australian and international country music. It’s open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
With a range of artefacts on display, from stage clothing, posters and photographs to the instruments that the artists played, it’s a must-see for any country music enthusiast. The musicians exhibited vary from early country music visionaries like Buddy Williams, Smoky Dawson and Brian Young to modern stars such as Beccy Cole, Amber Lawrence and Adam Harvey.
The Australian Country Music Hall of Fame museum is just round the corner from the Powerhouse Hotel Tamworth by Rydges on Peel Street. It’s around an 8 minute walk from the hotel and just across the road from Tamworth Regional Playground.
