Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum
The Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum stands as a captivating tribute to the rich history of motorcycling. This private museum showcases an extraordinary collection of 60 motorbikes predominantly from the 1950s to the 1980s (think Triumphs, Hondas, Velocettes, Laverdas and more!) offering enthusiasts an unparalleled glimpse into the evolution of these iconic machines. There is also a 1924 J model Harley Davidson – Walcha’s original postie bike with sidecar right through to a 2020 Harley Davidson Livewire electric motorcycle.
The carefully curated exhibit highlights not just the bikes themselves, but also the stories behind them, fostering a deep appreciation for the artistry and engineering of motorcycles.
The museum provides a wonderful opportunity to immerse oneself in the world of motorcycles, making it a must visit destination while visiting the Tamworth region.
Located adjacent to the Powerhouse Hotel Tamworth by Rydges, the museum is open 7 days from 9am to 4.30pm (closed Christmas Day). Entry fees apply: Adult $10, Pensioner $8, Child $5, Family $20 – includes complimentary tea or coffee.
