Tamworth Marsupial Park

Get up close with some of Australia’s native wildlife. The Tamworth Marsupial Park is less than 10 minutes and only 4 kilometres from the Powerhouse Hotel Tamworth by Rydges. It’s a fantastic place to go as a family or couple and gives you the chance to see these unique animals up close like nowhere else.

You can hand feed and walk right alongside kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos and emus. It’s a great way for children to have fun and learn more about native Australian species. There are also a range of birds inside the free-flight aviary and if you’re lucky, kids can hand feed the Indian peacocks.

The 14-hectare park also has a new Adventure Playground which has an under 5s and over 5s area. It’s a great place to relax for the day, with barbecue facilities and bathrooms for all. Entry is free to the park and donations are welcome.
