Tips from our plane spotter friends have allowed us to put together a list of the best spots in the area to get a front-row seat to all the airport action.

Runway 16R Landing: The best time to go is 6-11 a.m.

Lady Robinson’s Beach: You can watch from the car park at this spot or from further in if you walk five minutes. Best time to go is around 1 p.m.

Barton Park Hill: Best time to go is 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

End of Runway: Best time to go is anytime during the day except for early morning and late afternoon.

Tower Mound (Shep’s Mound): Best time to go is when the sun is at its brightest, so any time up until noon.
