Maritime Museum of Townsville
Opened in 2001 to the Public, the Maritime Museum’s main attraction is its ever growing ‘Ship Complex’ which includes the HMAS Townsville.
Located on the southern bank of the Ross River at the end of Palmer street, the museum overlooks the Townsville Motor Boat Club. The Museum includes a number of exhibitions and pieces including the Seafarers Gallery, an history fo the port through photography, The Bay Rock lighthouse, a real lighthouse relocated and preserved on the site and the federation gallery and boatshed.
