The Workshop Kitchen has been proudly serving amazing food and wine since 1986 and is considered the high watermark of regional hospitality.

The Workshop Kitchen is renowned for being the only place in town open all day, serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks until late (including public holidays).

The brekkie picks include Jack’s Creek Sausage Scramble with house made smoked spicy beef sausage (hot link), scrambled egg, Red Leicester & Gruyere cheese and the Moroccan Spiced Beef Mince with baked eggs, feta, lemon & coriander – both served with locally baked Reverence Sourdough. Local Antilles coffee beans get the respect they deserve, and the tea is loose leaf! What more do you want to kick off the day?

Timeless fare with a modern twist is at the heart of this bright and breezy enduring eatery. There’s everything from artisan bread, seafood and pasta to local Jack’s Creek Beef 8-9+MS Wagyu Tri Tip, cooked on the wood-fired grill. Delicious entrees and sides also grace the seasonal menu. If sweet is your thing, you’ll be torn between the Chocolate & Laphroaig Whiskey Mousse with orange syrup and the delectable Neapolitan Sundae with house made ice creams – Callebaut chocolate, strawberry and vanilla with Callebaut dark chocolate strawberry sauce and whipped cream.

The restaurant achieved a 3 Glass rating for its extensive wine list in the 2024 Australia’s Wine List of the Year Awards. This accolade recognises world class wine lists and establishments that are committed to presenting the best possible wine selection and service to their customers. The Workshop Kitchen is the first restaurant in the region and one of only a few prestigious eateries in the nation to ever receive a 3 Glass rating, showcasing more than 286 wines and 36 wines by the glass.

There’s also a private dining salon (which can accommodate up to 16 people) that’s removed in splendid isolation from the equally elegant main dining areas.
